Ready to escape the screen and create something real with your own two hands? Spend your March Break getting creative!
Join us at Unity Community Centre for a 3-session Clay Camp for teens focused entirely on the ancient, mindful art of hand-building pottery! This class is designed specifically for teens (ages 15-18) who are curious about clay, want a creative outlet, and are eager to make functional art without using a wheel.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
This focused camp will walk you through the three core hand-building techniques, resulting in personalized, functional items you can take home.
Session 1: Pinch & Play: Master the pinch pot technique to create small, organic forms. We'll use this method to make unique cups or small bowls, focusing on smoothing and symmetry.
Session 2: Slab Structures: Learn how to roll out even slabs of clay and join them securely using scoring and slip. We'll construct practical square or rectangular forms,…
